Description: The Red Tower is the only preserved part of the medieval defence wall of the city.
The tower was named after the red bricks that used to cover its exterior, but as they have not been restored, then the tower you see today is white instead.
You can try to make your own glass souvenirs or stained glass in the historical atmosphere of the tower’s glass workshop, you can visit the exciting exhibitions in the tower’s gallery and you will certainly find some beautiful souvenirs and national handicrafts, incl: pieces locally made of recycled glass, in the tower’s gift shop.
The Hanseatic market, workshops and cultural events take place in the lovely courtyard of the Red Tower.
